The Blackline Blenny, Meicanthus nigrolineatus,features a small blue and yellow body with a thick black horizontal line going from its eye to its tail. They are hardy and can be housed with other peaceful fish in a reef tank setting, and can even be housed with other blennies, gobies or dartfish.

This blenny will stay mainly towards the bottom of the tank, searching for algae to graze on in between meals. Diet should include a variety of mysis shrimp and vitamin enriched brine shrimp as well as spirulina, marine algae, seaweed and algae based foods 2-3 times daily.
