The Ornate Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus), also known as the Harlequin Ghost Pipefish, can be found among gorgonians and marine algae, where they hide from predators and search for small crustaceans. They have a thin, frilled body with a variety of colors and reach a maximum size of 5 inches. They do best singly or in bonded pairs. They should be kept in dimly lit aquariums with plenty of places to hide, low flow and a high population of copepods. They should be fed baby brine shrimp frequently to help ensure they are well fed.
