Description110131-A-4971M-234 (5411498766).jpg	ANTIOCH, Calif. – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District senior electrical engineer John Parrish recalls his experiences working on the Command and Control Facility at Fort Irwin, Calif. for students from the Academy of Engineering and Design for a Greener Environment (EDGE) at Antioch High School here Jan. 31. Parrish and structural design section chief Roger Zemba were invited to share stories of their educational and vocational backgrounds and explain the Corps’ various missions to more than 120 freshmen enrolled in the school’s new four-year academy, which incorporates a curriculum that links science and math education to engineering careers. Parrish, an engineer with the Sacramento District since 1987 and one of only two technical lead electrical engineers in the South Pacific Division, told students about his involvement in several Corps projects including the Command and Control facility.
