The Blackstripe Coris Wrasse () is endemic to Australia, being found throughout the Coral Sea. They have a white, pearlescent underbelly with a black dorsal section, and transparent yellow fins. They are carnivorous, feeding on small crustaceans found among reefs and lagoons. They should be fed a varied, nutritious diet regularly of mysis or brine shrimp with vitamins. Their aquarium should have fine sand, as they burry themselves at night. In addition, plenty of rock work should be present, so they can hide and seek refuge among caves. They are not considered aggressive, though only one is recommended per tank. They reach a maximum size of 6 inches and should be housed in an aquarium of at least 55 gallons.
